I'm totally real

I figured I might as well do some sort of update to prove I am still real and not a figment of Steph's imagination! I promise my middle name isn't Harvey and I haven't sprouted bunny ears (or grown a foot).

Also, I'll eventually be getting back to the book meme once I go back through my entries to figure out where the hell I left off!

Things have been pretty meh lately. First and foremost the whole job thing is still up in the air. Last month we were pretty much told that a position in our area was going away. Granted this news was ANYTHING but unexpected. I had seen that news coming for about 4 months, once we learned one of our markets was going all web. That market going all web GREATLY cut back and work load.

I did interview for another position in the company, not a job I would love or like by any means, but I figured I'd at least try going out with a fight. And as I expected I didn't get that job either. So right now I'm just coasting until the axe falls or another position opens up within my abilities.

If I get canned I have decided I'm so taking a few months off of working altogether. And if Steph wasn't at home I would totally go over to the UK for a month or so just to take a real vacation from life and all that good stuff.

Also I've considered going back to school if I get let go. My original degree was leaning more heavily towards programming, but I've reconsidered what would really interest me. I think I would rather fix computers, hardware and software. So if I go back to school I'll be leaning towards that.

So I do have a plan, once we ever figure out what the hell is actually going to happen in this department.

Other than that, I've just been getting some quality time with my PS3. I finished Dragon Age twice and am working on the other 4 original storylines (well not completely original, but I'm curious). I got another game, Prototype, which I'm trudging my way through. The game is ok, but I think it could be SO much better. Where this game fails is where inFAMOUS excelled at. I compare the two because they are very similar games. Though, inFAMOUS had a more Parkour type of movements and Prototype has more superhero type moves. In both you are an enhanced human being forced to either be a good guy or a bad guy. Now inFAMOUS made it a little two easy to choose this type of path (seriously, your choices were kill a dude or save him, not hard to figure out which ranks higher on a moral scale). Prototype is just defeat infected people...that want you dead or military personnel...that want you dead. The controls are OVERLY complicated and get really frustrating at times. And as much as I enjoy building a character, there isn't much choice on what type of character you can level up in this game, you basically just buy every upgrade and you are good to go.

The storyline is engaging, and the voice acting is much better than a lot of games, but I expected more. Especially after playing inFAMOUS.
