My. Poor. Knee.

I've discovered if I ever decided to actually play sports more regularly I'd actually have to invest in a support. Yuck.

Ok, if I was honest I should ALREADY invest in a support since any kind of intensive walking bothers the hell out of my right knee. Even my feet dangling kills my knee, makes it feel like someone is literally trying to rip the lower half of my leg off. Hence why I constantly have my feet propped up in some form or another. Yes even in movie theaters.

Yes I'm that short that my feet dangle in theaters. It's a pain in the ass really. About the only chairs I've sat in relatively comfortable were seats in Victory Field (our baseball field for anyone wondering).

But my neice got a basketball goal for her birthday, so I've been out and about, sweating my ass off and teaching her a few ins and outs of basketball. First and foremost that you don't launch the ball at the basket, it's more of an artform than that *g*.

I can even still do a layup!

However it's the jumpshot that's killed my knee. I'm right handed so I favour my right knee. Which also happens to be the knee I fucked completely years ago (hit it just right years ago that for a good half an hour I couldn't even STAND on it, it was like jelly...literally).

Even with a hurt knee I couldn't resist a game of Around the World yesterday. Stupid...probably, but I almost won *g*. Considering I haven't picked up a basketball in about 10 years, not too shabby.

My knee gets the same way after I've bowled as well. My shoulder as well, but that's a different story.

Ah well. What can you do right? Though I'm sure my neice seeing me miss a few baskets wasn't near as hysterical as the time her mom and I were demonstrating to my neice how to scrap nad protect your face...and I ducked into a punch.

This is my life folks, I'm sure I hold the record for most falling out of chair instances. Wouldn't you say shui79? How high were those chairs, less than a foot off the floor? *g*
