(no subject)
A pretty uneventful weekend. We did a few things, some shopping on Friday, got some sparkling grape juice for the kids on New Years and now I just gotta go get me some Captain Morgan's. I think we are just going to sit around the house watching movies and playing some games on New Years, probably some games of Scene It and who knows what else.
Anyway, after shopping I went and mailed my care package to the UK, and it wasn't AS expensive as I had assumed it would be. My family did make fun of me because I sent it air instead of freight/standard, but they just don't realize how unreliable and LONG that way is. Insanely long, I did it once, decide to shell out the extra bucks after that...besides there's a christmas present in there! I really don't want it to arrive three months from now! Then we went and got a free pizza at Donato's because our pizza on Halloween wasn't cooked all the way in the middle and was kinda nasty...this one however was AWESOME.
Sunday we went out for my sisters birthday, we went to Johnny Carino's, and it was pretty kick ass. I tried some Minestrone soup (since it came with a choice of soup or salad), it was ok, alot sweeter than I expected from a vegetable soup, but you don't know if you don't try. I got their combo plate, lasagna, spaghetti and chicken parmisiagna, and it was awesome...well, 'cept the lasagna because I don't like Italian sausage and that's what they made it with. I could have picked around the meat, but the sausage just left an undeniable flavour that I hated, but my neice loved. The bruschetta bread was also great, I wasn't disappointed and I'd definitely go back again.
That was it though, the rest of the time I mostly just sat around watching tv and playing games!
