An Update
Well it's been a while since I've posted, probably because I havn't done much. Well alot is about to change I think. It seems likely that I will have no choice but to find a new place to live, which kind of sucks as work isn't so great at the moment, so I am looking for a new roomate. Bill my ex and current roomate has done somthing very stupid and will most likely be moving back into his dad's place, I won't say what he did as it is his business, but I don't know why he would have continued to do it after he had been warned not to, and now he will have to pay the penalty. Anyway, I have been looking half assed at craigslist lately in the room/shared, I do feel confident that if I need to find a new place I can probably find somthing more affordable than where I am now, just not as comfortable, which is a good thing I need to shake htings up in my life. The Drawback to this is I was going to take the classes that I need to get my CNA license back, as healthcare is about the most stable profession to be in now, but it's unlikely i'll have the extra cash to pay for the class, and most places I have found require you to pay up front and than be reimbursed, which sucks as I dont' particularly want to get back to working in a nursing home if I can help it.
I've read quite a few good books lately, I had almost a month straight off of work and a few odd weeks off between the beginning of december and a couple weeks ago, so I filled the time reading, even with all the free time I didn't turn on the TV much, i may drop my cable tv altogether, that would piss bill off though, he did tell me I can drop the premium channels.. I almost told him I could drop all of it as I don't use it and he dosen't pay for it.... but that would have been putting salt into wound and I don't feel like argueing anymore. Anyway, I just finshed the latest Butcher book and the most recent in the Dresen Files, I'll probably re read it in a couple weeks, I liked it for the most part, I had thought that Morgan would end up as a Knight of the Cross by the end, Harry's going to have to do somthing with those swords soon, Michael certainly wont be taking his back up, and I think that Harry may end up taking up Espiraccius himself, in the end anyway, I could be wrong though they havn't hinted that he will do that, the next book will be awsome, the third faction of the council, the one that Harry and Ebenezer are forming in a sense, will know who at least one member of the black council is so that will be a good read to see what they can do. Butcher needs to expand on what Harry did on the Island to, as well as this power he has over outsider demons, we know he has it but he hasn't actually used it, other than to defeat "He Who Walks Behind" when he was fighing Du'Morne.
I have been geeking out lately, I started with putting Mac OSX on my laptop, yes i know not only is it not really legal, it dosn't work very well, but it did wanted I wanted to find out, I will defintly convert to a Mac when I buy my next computer, after putting vista back on here I took it off again and put Linux Ubuntu on here, partitioned the HD and put XP on the other half of the drive, I'm happy with the results, and I currently have my Linux puter looking and functiong like a Mac, I've learned alot in getting all of the stuff to work, if it weren't for well 2 programs I would leave Windows off altogether, but neither one will run under WINE, well I don't know about the second one as I had XP on here and don't use it but once a week anyway I didn't even try, but the character builder that I use to track my 4E dnd charactor' needs MS's .NET framework to run which even with a program called Mono installed I still couldn't get to launch.
