uuuuupdate.
so i have not updated in forever either, and decided to change that . . .
- GRADUATION is june 14! i'll be graduating from cal poly with a degree in journalism, emphasis in public relations, and a women and gender studies minor. i can't wait . . . it's definitely time.
- i'll be coming home for about a month this summer- at the end of june and during august. the rest of the time i'll be up here, working for an incoming freshman orientation program on campus called SOAR.
- i have a job lined up for next year. i'm going to be the americorps promise fellow for cal poly's women's center. i will also go through training to become a state certified rape crisis counselor through the SARP center, slo county's sexual assault response and prevention center.
- i am FINALLY going to visit san fransisco this summer. it's only been 22 years.
- jonathan is interning in the governor's office. he just finished his second year at harvard and is now 20. bottom line, he is AWESOME. for those of you who didn't see it in the sd papers, he was on college jeopardy a few weeks ago. my mom, dad, and i flew out to madison, wisconsin for the filming. it was amazing.
- the two highlights of every week for me are trivia tuesday at woodstocks and line dancing on thursday at the grad. (for those of you at home, stampede this summer!)
- i'm going to get back into horse back riding soon . . . western riding and barrel racing. i feel the need for speed : )
- i am moving to morro bay for next year. it is pretty much one of my favorite places on the planet. i'll be living in a small granny flat with a full ocean view and a mere two miles from the beach.
- i got brand new sunglasses this weekend. zon zippers. wayfarers. like jfk and johnny cash. they rock.
- i rule at beiruit.
- i CANNOT wait for the del mar racing season to open up. i took AGB 303- intro to the horse racing industry, and it only increased my love for horse racing. bring. it. ON!
- my three best friends from high school are still some of my best friends, and i have made many more up here.
- i attended my first wedding last weekend. CRAAAAZY.
. . . that was all very disjointed. basically, life is good. i am so excited for graduation and all that is to come. i intend on applying for teach for america again this year, and i have high hopes. i hope to see people i haven't seen in years this summer. catching up would be nice.
