Well, after my first party with people outside of my family in a good couple years I think (thanks
alaeia awesome hair BTW, I wish guys could get away with cool hair colors so easy, maybe for halloween if I have enough skill to figure out how those dyes work, nah, probably not), it seems like a good enough night to relax after spending an afternoon doing homework, and with my roommate who typically doesn't like to watch the silly movies I like to go grab a personal Veggie Pizza at Papa Romano's and kick back for some good old fashioned Tim Allen humor.
Yes you know what that means, I did end up renting Joe Somebody tonight and it was a 'good enough' movie to not make me want to skip though any of it. It had all of the standard 'I knew that was going to happen' plot points, but I'm happy alot of things happened that way, and it was the kinda movie where I was like, "Kiss her Joe" and "Dance with her Joe" and damn Joe you're lucky. Its movie that this that make me 'think' that "Hey it might be great to have a kid someday because they'll be as cool and lovable as the kids in the movies" (In this film it happened to be a tomboy who liked Minnesota Basketball and was an awesome writer). And maybe someday I can be as popular as his character, get the company to rally behind me for some frivilous goal. And sing "Larger than Life" with a group of guys at a Karoke bar... Dang, Tim Allen played the role of my dreams :) ... There were alot of key points in that film, like to find cool people who will be there whether you are up or down. Sure its a common typically tired theme, but it is a pretty dang good one. Ahh, if only the movies could reflect back on reality ;)
Oh, also of course the apperances by Patrick Warburton and Jim Belushi in his typecast "I'm the cool but drunk karate expert role"... Definately watchable, but possibly because I still for some reason laugh at Tim's tried "100 times before but still work jokes". I wonder if there were ever be a point in the future when her doesn't need to stoop to cheap groin jokes and can actually do something worthwhile... nah... Looks like Patrick and Tim mix it up again in "Big Trouble", the movie that I don't even REMEMBER seeing anything about in the theater but I guess it comes out on video next week. YEA! So many movies to watch... And after this crazy week I should finally have some time.
