Today has been kind of shitty. I drove out almost to Plymouth, MA tonight (100 mi)with my brother in law to find the gates to the track locked and a couple of pissed off racers standing around. "The track was wet, so they cancelled racing tonight", says a dude on his way out. Greeeaaaat.... 5 hours roundtrip down the toilet. And I have a kid sitting right behind me in points thats racing all over the state almost 4 days a week and he's breathing down my neck to take my #5 plate away. Still not going to happen. Anyway- Then my oil light starts to flicker in the car. Check it, and it's WAY down. So I fill it up, get back almost to Western MA, and the damn light starts going again. Two quarts of oil gone in 100 miles. Bad times. I really didn't want to have to buy a new ride just yet. Dur.
So I get home, catch the last out in the Sox game (go Sox!!- the only good part of the night) and my phone rings. It's my sister the Brookester, and she's bummed. Some results came back on my seemingly healthy gram, and it looks like she's jacked up with an inoperable illness. The same type of one that just took my aunt this summer. My family is all tweaked now, and I am just bumming.
