This is a 55 word story.
There are fifty five words total, but the first line has ten and every line after has one less, until the last line is a single word....and by line I mean sentence.
So here it is:
10. They say it was an accident, but I’m not sure.
9. It’s not like we didn’t have precautions in place.
8. Time stretches out like taffy in the dark.
7. It is a sweet and deadly mire
6. Memories start to lose their context
5. They are all equally faded.
4. I can’t ever leave
3. Where are you?
2. Can’t see.
1. Blind.
