Life Update

August:
DC trip was great! I loved seeing my friends, being a tourist at the museums, and just being there. The area is great, and so is taking the metro everywhere. Yummy restaurants. Vanessa and Mike think I should move up there, and I really wouldn’t mind it! I don’t want to move smack in the middle of DC, but somewhere in the vicinity would be really cool.

September:
School is easy. I have a lab, a fitness class (which is the easiest class I have ever taken), and the clinical. That’s it. I’m enjoying it, because next semester, and every one after that, I will have a very full schedule. I got a job at Border’s. It’s great because I love books, music, movies, coffee…everything there! And the manager is a Miami fan. Everyone is SO nice there, I actually look forward to going to work. I started out on the register, then they had me on the floor some as well, and I just finished training to be a barista in the café. I make fancy coffee drinks! It’s pretty crazy, but I love it, and am working as much as possible because next semester I won’t be able to.

October:
Yay my favorite! Scott visited twice this month for various Halloween activities. We went to the Disney Halloween party with Richard and Aileen; I got to be Red Riding Hood. Party was so much fun as always, and I got a lot of candy. I feel like it went really fast this year though! It was over so soon. Then he came up a couple days ago with Patrick and Fletcher and we went to Halloween Horror Nights. This is one of my new favorite things! Being scared is not always fun, but the incredible detail put into the costumes, sets, and storylines of the haunted houses and various scare areas was amazing. My favorite was of course the “Fractured Fairy Tales” house, with extreme horror versions of the stories. It’s weird to say but some of them were very gory and really cool all at the same time. Bloody Mary’s and the Doomsday houses were also really scary and well done. I’m pretty jumpy and that’s plainly obvious so all the scare actors had a lovely time with me. Saw a tribute to the Rocky Horror Picture Show - SO fun and really crazy. I hope they pay those actors well to be in those costumes. Even with the express passes we only got through 5 of the 8 houses, but we did do most of the rides. There is just so much to see and do.

And that is all. I’m looking forward to: seeing the Twilight movie with Aileen, hanging out with people from the café, my birthday, and going home for Thanksgiving. And also Christmas!
