Sam and I have finally returned to Brisbane. We're both quite happy to be back, however our body clocks are severely screwed up.

We had a really good time over there. The main reason we went was because my father had put together a huge party to celebrate the success of his real estate company and my brother's birthday. The party was awesome. Unfortunately, Sam and I barely got to talk to each other, I was being pulled away by about 40 some people who wanted to talk to me. "Where have you been?! We haven't seen you in ages! We heard you were in Brisbane, but are you ever coming back?!" Somehow, I dodged that question without anyone getting upset. Thank God!

During our trip, I showed Sam around Indy, my hometown Muncie where I was born, and took her up to Purdue where I went to uni. She absolutely LOVED the campus. She has been thinking about doing an exchange and I think I may have persuaded her even more to go there. She was in love with the campus. Because of this, I bought her a couple of Purdue engineering and aviation shirts and a hat for her. She absolutely loved that.

Beyond that, we didn't do much else except go out to a whole heap of restaurants and try the food. It was interesting to see the differences of how food is prepared in the states as opposed to Oz.

As for being back in Brisbane, I will already be hitting the ground running back to work and will be meeting with my financial advisor from the bank to discuss a loan for a house. Sam and I are fed up with renting and are quite tired of cramped apts and not being able to decorate the walls with paintings. There are several things that I hate about apts. You're very restricted to what you can do with the place, ESPECIALLY if you get a furnished apt. For some people, furnished places are OK because they can't afford furniture at the time. However, you're stuck with it and can't really buy much to replace it. So you're forced to look for a new place thats unfurnished. In my eyes, furnished places are only good for about 6 months until you get your own furniture lined up. Speaking of furniture, I'm in the midst of buying a new dining room table and chairs along with an 81cm LCD flatscreen TV and a DVD/VCR combo. As Californian's would say, "I'm quite jazzed about this".

Anyway, its time for work.
