when i first heard Lordi (around when they were in the Eurovision 2006 Song Contest) i thought 'why does this sound exactly like something Alice Cooper would have written in the late 80s, like with Jon Bon Jovi and whatever?' since then, i've been listening to more Finnish bands and it sure does seem the land of my ancestry loves the pop-metal and the glam rock as much as its own national anthem, going at least back to Hanoi Rocks... and today with the likes of The 69 Eyes, H.I.M, Nightwish, etc etc...
... so it is with mirth and merriment that i just found out today Tarja Turunen's (ex-Nightwish) solo album features none other than a cover of "Poison", a track from... a late-80s Alice Cooper album.
