not doing my paper...still.
this entry is two fold 1. i've got stuff to say 2. maybe if i get it out i'll stop thinking about it and work on my paper. ok. first order of business...i'm am so totally depressed that ruby's pearl is going out of business. c wine and i went to visit laura at r.p. today laughing, crying, hugging and sad looks all around. such an important little space. laura said that the emma goldman clinic was going to continue the menstral alternative stuff which is cool, also laura sent all the research etc that everyone compiled at ruby's so if another group of people were interested in starting something similar up they'd have some info to work with...brilliant. on a lighter note...i got a kick ass zine "skirt" (the last one muah!) full of art projects, yummy recipes and political manifestos. skirt also does way cool clothing, art, and accessories too. rad group of people. oooh annnd i saw marty at ruby's it's been forever since i've seen her...i didn't even recognize her until i was walking out. crazy. ok second order of business...i'm totally stressing about what to do for the intermedia open house (at the end of april, be there). rarely am i afforded the opportunity to display my art work for free in a supportive academic setting so i have to make the best of my time/space there. i'm toying with a few different ideas mainly the influence that war has on art and how that fits into the whole construction from destruction concept. so i have a rough idea, now i need to chose a space and a solid medium for display...so pretty much i have tons of work to do. any suggestions?
