The schemes are the best. And Blair looked stunning at that gala, possibly my favorite look of hers yet. And her and Chuck fighting in front of the therapist... I think that was my favorite moment of the whole episode. Because they both are stunning and fascinating, and they were all caught up in the fun of roleplay but also their actual emotions because they were accidentally venting about their actual relationship and feelings. Lovelovelove.
I'm really glad they dealt with that whole complicated plot in this one episode, rather than dragging it out! I love it when they actually give some answers, instead of just piling on more bizarre complications. Also, while I get where Serena's coming from... UGH. So sick of her right now.
I also continue to enjoy how remarkably implausible most of what happens on that show is.
And I have not heard these finale spoilers, but I am excited all the same! Damn you Gossip Girl finale, why must you be during reading period when I'll need to be writing too many papers?
Yes yes yes, I forgot to mention how great their fighting in front of the therapist was. Their comebacks were so great and you could tell they both had been wanting to rant about it to a third party forever.
Me too! AND YES YES YES TO SERENA. I adore Serena, normally, I do, but good god she was awful in these past few episodes. Rufus has always been pretty great to her and she all of a sudden flips on him because her dad is back (who previously never gave a shit about her) and wants him and her mom to break up, even though she KNOWS how much Rufus and Lily have fought to be together. UGH SERENA. >:(
SERIOUSLY. My absolute favorite Gossip Girl recaps on NYMag.com have a reality index that measures how implausible things are each week and it's so great.
There aren't specifics out there, like who's doing what or dying or having a threesome but TONS of stuff happens, apparently. Soooo excited.
