nicholasscimeca @tomconrad Remember when you used to protest fur out front of Neiman Marcus & then years later you fell in love w/ corndogs on warped tour?
Nick Scimeca, I knew there was a reason I loved you so much. Seriously, picturing bb!Tomrad with his bad hair and HUGE baggy jeans and black fingernail polish out in front of Neiman Marcus yelling at people for wearing fur is seriously the best thing I've ever thought about it in my entire life.
Also in bandomy stuff, Greta's album comes out at midnight! I'm pretty excited. Almost as excited as I was when she sent me a Facebook message about it through her Gold Motel facebook fan page. Bandom is so weird.
Being home has been stupidly busy and it's going to be even busier. My cousin, uncle and grandmother (it's an odd combo because my aunt can't get off work, my other cousin is still in school and my grandpa is basically blind and is worried about being somewhere he's unfamiliar with) are driving in tomorrow, weather permitting, and graduation is on Saturday, and because my mother cannot fathom of not having a party, we're having one afterwards. I've been to grocery stores 3 times in the past day, the post office and FedEx and I still have to make food tonight. When I never have a party of my own when I live by myself, memories of shit like this will be why.
We're supposed to get between 4 and 10 inches of snow tonight and in the morning, so that made the grocery store extra fun tonight. Who knows how much we'll actually get. It's a long-standing joke around here that the guy who owns our big grocery chain had an in with the main weather guy, because anytime the weather guy said we were going to have snow, everyone and their damn grandmother would buy every fucking thing in the grocery store, and then we'd have like, a few flurries and that was it. This is such a long-standing joke that the weather guy and the grocery store owner did a commercial making fun of this. Oh North Carolina.
I wasn't able to find a job this week, but I was able to get a volunteer/intern position to help fix/redesign this local art council's website. Well, it's not official, but the lady I emailed with was really excited that someone was interested, even if it's for no money, so I think I've got it. I figure I need the experience more than anything, so I figure it's worth it, even if there's no money out of it.
Anyway, I realized I hadn't offered any holiday cards or presents or anything even though I meant to, so a) if you want a $10 coupon for a paid account, let me know! and b) have a poll:
Poll I'm late on the holidays, as usual
I can't promise when anything will be done, but I will promise that it will be! :D?
tomrad,
