Straight Outta Barrington

I always forget how long uploading videos and shit takes (yes, I'm finally uploading Bonnaroo stuff), so in the meantime, I was checking my album charts on Last.FM. My overall isn't that surprising or noteworthy but the rolling 6 month one made me laugh.

1 This Is Ivy League - This Is Ivy League 348
2 The Beatles - 1 269
3 The Academy Is... - Santi 266
4 504 Plan - Minutia 142
5 Taking Back Sunday - Louder Now 133
6 The Academy Is... - Almost Here 131
7 N.W.A - Straight Outta Compton 125
8 Beatsteaks - Limbo Messiah 117
9 Incubus - Morning View 109
10 Cobra Starship - ¡Viva La Cobra! 93

One of these is not like the other!

Also, for some reason Howl or Pretty. Odd. won't register on there. Last.FM fails like that.

And speaking of albums, TAI is officially calling their new album Fast Times at Barrington High (according to their Myspace). This is truly amazing, boys, seriously.

Also, I have a question. Gym Class Heroes new album, The Quilt (which sound incredible btw) has been pushed back to dropping in September (according to Wikipedia, so take that with a grain of salt) but their single, "Cookie Jar," and the video are set to come out sometime in the next few weeks, if I understand correctly. Also, from the music blogging people that have heard some tracks have said that they were produced and mastered. Now, Fast Time at Barringtion High is slated to come out August 19th. As far as I know, no lead single is decided yet (nor is there a music video) and the same music people have said the tracks they heard are not yet mastered.

So to summarize:
Gym Class Heroes and TAI have albums coming out within a month of each other (GCH either a month earlier or later) and GCH's is basically done, with singles and videos decided, while TAI's is not even mastered yet and they are going to be on Warped all summer until it drops.

The Academy Is... what is wrong with you?

Now, I know that the album can be mastered and ready for release in August with no problem but still, this is kind of distressing. TAI, why must you constantly test my love for you? It's like the worst abusive relationship ever. (there's a Mike Carden sandwich joke here but I am too worried over what Siska could do with his life if the band failed to make it)
