No, Rachel and I did not go out today solely to buy clothes for the Harry Potter midnight party this weekend, of course not. And of course we didn't buy men's ties in our coordinating house colors that were on sale for buy one get free. And, no way did I buy yellow eye shadow just for the occasion, that's something a crazy person would do.
I bought the eye shadow last week.
*cough*
(I told you people, Harry Potter makes me crazy. Like glazed over eyes and unbrushed hair and cackle-y laugh crazy.)
PS: Supposedly the whole book has leaked, so heads up spoiler-phobes. I'm at the point where I'm sticking to my flist, Facebook and a select couple other non-fandomy sites. AND IT'S ONLY MONDAY. CHRIST.
In other news, I failed at the Patrick Swayze category and swept the masturbation category on World Series of Pop Culture tonight. What does this say about me?
ETA LOL I just want to remember this conversation my mom and I had:
"Oh, just so you know, this weekend is when the last Harry Potter book comes out and it comes out and midnight on Friday night, so that's what I'll be doing all weekend."
"Did you remember to do the pre-order thing at Barnes and Noble?"
"Yeah, Jeff and Rachel did too, we're all going together and we're dressing up!"
"What are you dressing up as?"
"We're all going in our different House colors. Jeff's a Slytherin, Rachel's a Ravenclaw and I'm a Hufflepuff, 'cause, well, that's what we are."
"You all are such geeks."
