Zenkichi loves us and got into trouble trying to protect us, yesssss.
I was spoiled by the trophy list for the fact that Zenkichi would get a Persona, but I wasn't prepared for how odd it would feel to have a middle-aged man join our party of idealistic teenagers. I'm glad he's clearly enjoying getting to feel cool, though.
One-on-one fighting the false Joker was pretty rad!
It's a terrible and fascinating moment where Shadow Akane disappears and, for an instant, Zenkichi thinks his daughter just died in his arms.
'I knew this already, but... you kids are a bunch of lunatics.' I really enjoy the dynamic Zenkichi brings to this game: a grown adult being drawn into our orbit and reluctantly becoming fond of us while also being absolutely unable to handle us.

I've been thinking of this as a short side game, and it's only just hit me that I've been playing for forty-four hours. It's only short in comparison to other Persona titles; it's easily the length of a Final Fantasy.
I tried not to fight Sophia at first, and I noticed that none of my party members were attacking her either, bless them.

If Ichinose personally designed Sophia, that certainly explains Sophia being bright and bubbly and then going 'why don't we just murder Alice? that seems the most convenient option.'
Sophia reaching out to Ichinose! I really like the themes of compassion and redemption at the heart of Persona. These games always believe that people can become better.

I hope Akane gets really excited about the new member of the Phantom Thieves and Zenkichi is bewildered to realise his daughter is a fan of his secret identity.
That was good fun! Nothing life-changing, but I enjoyed playing it and it was good to spend more time with these characters. I don't think it needed to exist, but I'm glad it does.
If they made a sequel like this for Persona 4 - an action RPG about everyone having a post-game roadtrip together - I would buy it twice.
