And also: Captain Slow. It is clearly sign that AU!Pirate fic has to be written.

I wrote some AU!Pirate fic for the Secret Santa fic, but er, apparently not everyone's handed theirs in yet, but damn, the pirate thing WAS fun to write :D

*eyes fic* Well, there wasn't a lot of swashbuckling, I think. Not with a sword, and most of that was implied.

You should always feel free to interrupt my comment threads! I wouldn't have added you if I weren't interested in what you had to say, and if comment-thread-interruption results in things like, say, hilarious Jonathan Ross fic I obviously have to encourage it.

BUT YOU PEOPLE HAVE GOT TO STOP TRYING TO ENCOURAGE ME TO WRITE PIRATEFIC, BECAUSE I ONLY HAVE SO MUCH WILLPOWER. (Although I don't think I can beat dracothelizard's one, which was marvellous and I cannot wait to see it go up on the community.)

I firmly believe that the parrot should also be called 'Top Gear Dog', even though it's not a dog and the Pirate AU presumably has no Top Gear.

I had no idea that this 'you utter pirate!' icon would become so useful so quickly.
