As It Turned Out, It Was Only Twenty Seconds.

Oh, good Lord, draegonhawke, I didn't get you anything! Thank you so much! Can I do anything for you? Is there anything you'd really like me to have a go at writing?

So much icon space all of a sudden! I'd say 'I have no idea what I'll do with it all', but I quickly learnt when the space for free users went from three to six that the number of userpics you ( Read more... )

Ooh, ooh! I know, I know! Get dracothelizard to show you seasons 3-7 of Stargate: S-G1! Then I will be Happy Magi for ever and ever. (:P Dude, just enjoy it. Half of the reason I lobbed it at you was because I enjoy stalking my friends' icon pages, and yours never changes. So, er, upload more icons! Then I will also be happy.)

Ooh, she would SO take to Stargate! And they are terribly easy to download, we'll just point her at mininova and watch the combined insanity and stupidity of Jack O'Neill and Daniel Jackson do the rest!

Snark City, man, Snark City. And it helps when your entire main cast is certifiably insane in one way or another. (Except Hammond, I guess. Though putting up with SG-1 may be insanity in and of itself.) I entrust the task of Getting Her Hooked unto you, m'dear. I am too far away.

Sam and Rodney McKay in one room. Also, there are plenty of awesome minor character for Riona to get ridiculously attached to (Bra'tac! Thor! Siler!)

"(Except Hammond, I guess. Though putting up with SG-1 may be insanity in and of itself.)"

The fact that it has a character with the last name of 'Hammond' alone might be enough. Also, it is slightly weird and I find that I prefer to call him 'George' when rambling about him in mu LJ.

"I entrust the task of Getting Her Hooked unto you, m'dear. I am too far away."

Well, I have always had a tendency to criticise and ramble about SG-1. Who knows, it shall be my New Year resolution.

(Rothman! Nyan! Freyr! Lee! Reynolds! Seriously, Reynolds. He's the in-canon fanboy. Well, aside from whosisface in The Other Guys, but I really didn't like him.)

I'm waiting for the Hammond/Hammond. "HE'S a giant, cool, composed general with enormous responsibility! HE'S a tiny, crazy television personality with an enormous fanbase! They fight crime!"

Sam and Rodney = True Snark 4 Evar. My favorite it "Jack and his scientists locked in a room," just because Jack's brain has all the most interesting ways of trying to explode out his ear.

I saw SG-1 way before I was introduced to Top Gear, so TG was the thing that seemed weird to me. Because I watched it, and there was a Hammond, and I was all "Awk! He's tiny!"

[Who knows, it shall be my New Year resolution.]

You have no idea how outragiously happy this makes me.

I LOVED Rothman! He was awesome and snarky! Oh God yes, the two fanboys in The Other Guys were made of awesome.

*brains breaks over Hammond/Hammond* Just NO. Although Riona likes pairing people up just because of their names.

Jack's brainfarts are a thing of beauty and amazingness.

I never actually thought about it until I wrote the Top Gear/Stargate SG-1 crossover and thought '...HANG ON'. Clearly there has to be a crossover in which they are somehow related.

Rothman was awesome, though for general snarkage I turn to Jacob Carter, because he can PWN Jack without really trying that that's also a thing of beauty. And we'd love Jack just for the amazing things his face does when he's forced to listen to Carter &/ Daniel explaining him to death.

See, I really cannot fathom how Hammond/Hammond would work, but it seems like the kind of thing she'd do :P. (...now I'm waiting for O'Neill/Harkness, except O'Neill is jaded enough he probably wouldn't fall for it. But hey, that still makes for amusingness.)

The tiny Brit and the giant Texan. I want to see that family tree.

My dream Stargate episode would have Bra'tac and Jacob Carter in one room and arguing a lot, and over at the SGC it would have McKay and Sam snarking a lot and Jack just looking confused and wondering what's going on, and Teal'c being dry at everybody.

I wrote Jack/Jack, because I wanted to see how having two people with the same name having sex would work and how confusing it would be. Also, Jack would totally fall for it because he's an intergalactic flirting hussy as well. Seriously, how do you think they got the Asgard/Earth alliance, hmm?

Have you seen Episode Twelve of Torchwood yet? This is completely relevant and if you have seen it you will understand why.

No, it's downloading but I have seen previews and Present!Jack Harkness meets Past!Jack Harkness, don't they? I haven't seen the episode but I shall assume they have had sex at some point.

See, this is where I sidle and go "Er, I ship, like, .01% of all pairings I even think are reasonable, because I'm such a Gen addict." (O'Neill/Carter is the only canon pairing I think I've ever fallen for, and half the reason I fell for it was because it's so perfectly fine with never happening.) Also, I tend to see perfectly nonromantic interaction (unless romance is explicit) everywhere, in the same way some people tend to see slash subtext everywhere. So I'm far predisposed toward not seeing pairings as opposed to seeing pairings. (I usually chalk up Jack's idiosyncracies to having grown up with three older sisters we never hear about because he hates two and ignores the other. Because that amuses me far, far more ^_^.)

I have a giant epic fic that had Bra'tac and Jacob and McKay showing up, and Jack and Daniel being confused and wondering what's going on, and Teal'c randomly deciding that Jack needs lectures on how to be a good friend! And copious amounts of angst, but whatchagonndo.

Hey, you're the person who's written Jack Harkness/Jack O'Neill, James May/James Norrington and slight implications of James May/James of Team Rocket! even if I encouraged you on the latter two.

I AM ALREADY ON THE TRAIN TO GLASGOW, WATCH OUT oh damn you've run off to the Netherlands again, haven't you? I await orders on how to watch Stargate, ma'am.

YOU LIKE IT MORE. You went 'Hey, wouldn't Jonathan Creek/Jonathan Ross/Jonathan Harker be a good idea?' And the Big James Crossover was your idea. I just... wrote it.

I have indeed run off! As for orders, well, how do you usually download things, because didn't you download Life On Mars? The best way to get episodes are by getting torrents, and I can probably explain how those work. Also, as a warning, there are 10 seasons of Stargate which have at least 20 episodes, so y'know, it's a lot. But the middle season are the most amusing anyway.

Okay, fine! It's all true! Although I may have to draw the line at Robert Kelso/Robert Chase. Am I likely to end up thinking about Sam Carter/Sam Tyler?

(This is going to be my icon for anything remotely related to the five-Jameses fic, because it is quite clearly May and Hammond trudging into Silent Hill. Seriously.)

I dislike and distrust torrents, so I'm going to hunt for other methods of viewing it first. Sadly, there doesn't seem to be anywhere convenient for getting non-torrent downloads, so I may have to resort to, y'know, legal methods. I'll take a look at a video rental, I suppose.

[Am I likely to end up thinking about Sam Carter/Sam Tyler?]

The source canon involves time travel, so yes, it's likely.

Hello this is draegonhawke in case you couldn't tell.

I actually sat bolt-upright in absolute terror when I saw that I'd got a message from the magibrain. WHEN DID YOU GET YOUR OWN JOURNAL? OH, GOOD LORD, YOU ARE GOING TO KILL US ALL.

I SEE THAT YOU ARE ALREADY ENCOURAGING CROSSOVERS. Crossovers that, admittedly, sound as if they could be fairly awesome, but still! I do not need more crossover ideas!
