I Attacked The Wall With My Ass.

Having been forced to play Silent Hill 3, I'm making Tem play a game I can watch in retaliation. We're working our way through Raging Loop!

Raging Loop is an odd visual novel. It feels a bit like it was written by a very sophisticated neural network, or by extraterrestrials who don't entirely understand how human beings think and interact. Everyone's behaviour is just slightly off.

At one point the protagonist spends ages thinking, 'But why would this person run away from the village? Is she trying to escape a crime she committed? Did someone betray her? Did she see something terrible? There must be a reason.' He does not, at any point, consider whether it might be because the village is plagued by werewolves that are murdering people on a nightly basis.

I pinned down a favourite character! The kid who's completely confident in his masculinity, swans around in dresses and makes fun of everyone. Who was then murdered almost immediately. I'd forgotten that it's always a bad idea to have favourite characters in murder games.

Probably the worst 'wait, has the writer ever met a person?' instance so far:

Game: This guy is SUSPICIOUSLY EMOTIONAL, despite usually being a calm, rational person. The only possible explanation is that he's a murderer who's trying to throw people off.
Riona: Is it possible he's slightly more emotional than usual because his brother and best friend were murdered yesterday, people are voting on whether to hang his mother, and the woman he has a crush on has just voted to hang him instead?
Woman He Has A Crush On: YEAH, YOU'RE TRYING TO GUILT ME, THAT'S NOT LIKE YOU, YOU'RE DEFINITELY A MURDERER
Riona: YOU JUST VOTED TO HANG HIM, I THINK HE'S GOT GROUNDS TO INDUCE A BIT OF GUILT
Game: Yep, he's the murderer! The only possible explanation for his bizarre, inexplicable behaviour.

Then the protagonist made out with a woman while she physically disintegrated and bled uncontrollably into his mouth.

(I told RD about this, and her response was 'It sounds like you'd be into that.' Goddammit. She's not wrong. I think the mention of pus probably ruined it for me, though.)

I'm very confused. I don't expect the rest of the game to confuse me any less, but I don't imagine I'll be bored, at least.
