Thank you very much! (You have a point; the second game alone has all the horrible injuries a hurt/comfort writer could desire. I'm not usually a hurt/comfort writer, though, so this fic took me a bit by surprise.)

For a while when I was writing this I thought Nate might actually end up dying, because I couldn't work out how to get him out of this mess, but then I decided that, well, if the canon had an against-all-odds rescue...

It really was. Nathan/Elena took me a bit by surprise; I'm not usually terribly interested in canonical pairings, because I'm contrary, but apparently those two are so great that they managed to make me fall in love with their relationship anyway.

Incidentally, earlier today I read the quotes you posted from Uncharted: The Fourth Labyrinth and really enjoyed them, so thank you for sharing those!
