It's Not Even A Different Colour.

Today, I went to the Doctor Who Experience with reipan! REI CRASHED THE TARDIS. WE WERE TAKEN PRISONER BY DALEKS. THE DOCTOR WHO MUSIC PLAYING OCCASIONALLY PUT ME ON THE VERGE OF TEARS. IT WAS GREAT. I suspect that we were quite a lot more into it than most of the children there. (The exhibition following the 'experience' contained the outfits of the Doctors and the post-reboot companions. I squealed 'Donna!' in a highly undignified fashion when I caught sight of her clothes, because I am a grown-up. A member of staff gave me an odd look.)

Possibly the best thing, though: the signs that said 'TOILETS LOCATED BEHIND THE PANDORICA'. Amazing.

The new series of Doctor Who begins on the 23rd of April! I am now very much in the mood for it. Matt Smith is such an excellent Doctor. I'm hoping I'll learn to love Amy this time around, because she didn't quite manage to win me over in her first series.

Other things I would like to see in the coming series: the Doctor taking on some Waterloo Road pupils as his companions (bonus points for Josh, Finn or Sambuca, but anyone from that school would be delightful and/or hilarious); the inexplicable return of Donna Noble (I KNOW IT'S NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN, LET ME DREAM); me and Rei helping to save the Doctor, because that's what we did in the Doctor Who Experience today and surely our noble efforts should be acknowledged on BBC One.

Afterwards:

Rei: Gotta get down to the bus stop; gotta catch our bus.
(later, on the bus:)
Rei: (stops in the middle of the aisle, briefly holding up other passengers) Gotta make our minds up: which seat can we take?
Riona: REI.

It wasn't even Friday.

If anyone saw the first episode of Campus, know that I once lent Ahir Shah - who played the student who had a target painted on his chest and was later pestered to ask his father for money, also apparently called Ahir Shah - a ukulele. He is, in fact, the guy who said I looked like a Tekken character dual-wielding ukuleles, mentioned in this entry over here. It was pretty cool to see him on the television! I fully expect him to be there more often in the future.

doctor who, music, famous!, rei is prince of cats, ukuleles, conversational adventures, crossovers, this entry is retrospectively hilarious, waterloo road
