You Know The Furies Made Orestes Hallucinate His Way Through Silent Hill.

I am supposed to be reading the 1799 Prelude and one of its later (and much, much longer) revisions this week. I have been neglecting this somewhat, because dude, three essays, The Prelude can wait (NO, OBVIOUSLY UPDATING MY LIVEJOURNAL CANNOT, ahahaha oh dear I'm such a bad student), but I found this part at the beginning of the 1799 version and ( Read more... )

crossovers, poetry, silent hill, university

I like the Orestes one. But not as much as the 'Richard Hammond loses Oliver, has a breakdown, and ends up in Silent Hill, being followed by the Pyramid Head Volvo' one. Because that's the best fic idea ever.

Well, I wouldn't be able to write it, because I've already sent Richard into Silent Hill once and doing it again would just be cruel. AND TOTALLY NOT JUST BECAUSE I AM RIDICULOUSLY SENTIMENTAL AND THE PREMISE ALONE MAKES ME WANT TO CRY. Woe!

Wait, when did you send Richard into Silent Hill.

And the premise makes me want to cry, too. But the story would be so brilliant!

In my Top Gear and Silent Hill crossover fic! WHICH IS IN topgearslash, OH DEAR, I SUPPOSE YOU'LL HAVE TO JOIN IF YOU WANT TO READ IT. WHILE YOU'RE AT IT, YOU MAY AS WELL POST THE RICHARD-HAMMOND-AS-A-LESBIAN-COUPLE FIC, RIGHT?

No, I can hold out! Must resist temptation! Even though I've obviously been doing a crappy job what with all the comment-fic and suchlike.

I NEED TO SETTLE MY ETHICS ON RPF, FIRST!

Or face an irresistible temptation like two Richard Hammond goes to Silent Hill fic. That is if one featured poor dead Oliver. That might crack me.

OH NO YOU BLOODY WELL DON'T.

Look, if I keep having ethical wibbles about this, and go join Topgearslash, then I'm likely to annoy people and make a jackass out of myself. So, unless I sort out the ethics, I shouldn't join, and should try to avoid cheating with "It's just comment-fic." On account of that leads to more guilt, behaving in a way I'm not sure of my own ethics on, and me being annoying at others.

Well, I can understand that; I was fairly unnerved by the entire concept of RPF before I got into Top Gear, and I still can't go anywhere near heavy real-person angstfic. Because it is weird.

Er. Apart from the Silent Hill crossover, in which, obviously, I wrote real-person angstfic. Because, well, it's not easy to write a Silent Hill crossover without including, y'know, angst.

I'd offer to e-mail it to you if you really wanted to see it, but if you have qualms about RPF in general I'm not sure you'd be terribly at ease reading it.

I'd probably feel a bit guilty, but I read all your stuff, love it to pieces, and feel a bit guilty anyways, so no difference there.

Lj claims they gave me an lj email address, but I have no idea how it works. Do those work?

I still think you could do a viable Top Gear/Silent Hill crossover in which their tendency to destroy things would ironically save them by letting them break Silent Hill and escape. Mostly because I saw the polar special, and saw that you can put James and Jeremy in a car in an intensely dangerous environment with a gun without anyone being killed. And it would be hilarious and angst-free.

I thought LJ e-mail addresses were only available to paid users, and all they'll do is direct the e-mail to the address you get comment notifications with anyway. My e-mail address is in my profile (I don't want to say it out loud in case the spambots find us); send me a quick e-mail (so I know your address) and I'll send you the fic.

Aah! Spambots! Will do!

I'm the strange person sending you a rambly email about how I'm not named Amy.

I thought the impossible temptation would be fic with two Richard Hammonds.

Er, I gave in and did that one already. So it's out of my system.

But you did him as two lesbians! And it wasn't even porny!
