Ris and I had the best day yesterday! First off, the weather was absolutely gorgeous yesterday. I went to her house around noon and then we headed off to the Towsontown Festival, which we haven't been in forever. We had such a great time! First we got these tshirts which were about 2 bucks each, her's a spoof of the swingline staple from the movie "Office Space", mine was a tie dye woodstock tshirt. We perused all the vendors, trying out all kind of stuff, and scoring some free things too.

I have a great story! So Larissa spots Governer Erlich coming our way down the street. So she is determined to shake his hand, and tell him she teaches at his old middle school. She waits for a little bit and finally makes her way through the crowd to shake his hand. He was so excited to hear that she teaches at his old middle school! It was hysterical. So after Larissa's political moment and adourning of campaign stickers, we keep moving on, checking out the booths. Two booths later, this huge african american guy comes up to Ris (he is obviously one of Erlich's security guards, headset and all), and asks her to come back so they can get a picture of her with the Governer. CRACK UP! Larissa is a celebrity and know she is going to be on the governer's website. HA HA!

Next good story...Ris and I get something to eat and head to the park in front of the courthouse to sit and eat. All of a sudden we here a "hey!" and this guy walks towards us. Well, it is a friend from college and RUF named Jeff. So after catching up for a minute, he mentions him and his wife Christine are sitting out on the lawn with their new puppy, and we should head over and say "hi". A duh....new puppy.....we are so there! So we visited with them for a little bit. Then off again to peruse the booths, and we here another male voice say "hey, you better not be trying to steal those!". Its our college friend and fellow music teacher Alex, who we are ecstactic to see. So after that happy reunion we finished up at the festival, which was completely awesome!

We headed back to Ris' house and chilled out on her deck with some Coronas (you know we didn't pay that ridiculous price for the beer garden at the festival!). We also had a kick butt dinner of shrimp and we made this amazing salad (which I am now addicted to sweet vidalia onion dressing). Unfortunely I had to head back home after dinner because I had to let casey out. And I am not risking leaving him more than 9 hours because we are on a poop free crate streak, which is very good.

Today, I am studying for my national board certification exam next weekend, laundry, cleaning, and grocery shopping. Boy to I love sundays.... :\
