thanksgiving holiday has come and gone
This week just flew by! On tuesday I was officially done with work at 11:30, and boy did I need it. I landed a nasty sinus infection, so intense I had to break down and go to the doctor's on tuesday. After some heavy antibiotic, I am feeling much better. I spent thanksgiving in Ohio with AJ and his family, and had a really nice time. Lots of good food! Which is always a turkey day plus! We had a nice time visiting with everyone, had some relax time (including many needed naps), and even went out bowling. A bunch of the "adults" went out bowling on thanksgiving night and I didn't win, but I crushed AJ by a good 20 some points. woohoo! We headed home by saturday so I could pick up Casey from boarding.
He was very happy to see me, but needless to say is playing his "diva" card because I left him behind. First, he sleeps non stop because I don't think he gets much sleep when I but him in boarding. He is so curious, he must wake up at every little move and sound. Then he does this whole "oh oops, I forgot I can't do things like jump up on the coffee table and drink out of the toilet". Last, he can not get enough pet pets and cuddling, like he was deprived of doggie attention when I am gone. He is so funny.
Decorated for christmas this weekend! Last year I lost track of time and never put up my stuff. Saturday I put up the tree with all of my macaroni art/kiddie ornaments and some new ones I have collected. It's looking very festive if I do say so myself.
Well, tomorrow will start the craziness of concert season. I am feeling pretty ready, and hoping the kids are too. On top of that I a ton of work due for my grad course. I just stopped working on my powerpoint presentation for tuesday. Which took me just an hour tonight to figure out how to design and layout on slide. Sheesh, I knew I should have taken that course in college on powerpoint and excel. Maybe I am even feeling confident and can put a sound clip into the slide show. NAAAHH.....who am I kidding?!?!
