TUTKA ROADSHOW HUNTS THE DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES AT UNIVERSAL STUDIOS
*In front of a parking garage*

K: Hey, now listen - we have a chance to play a little...öh

K: Young adults. Now we came, we decided to come see this Universal Studio
S: Studio. We just came here next to Hollywood. The drive from Hollywood took about ten minutes.
K: Fifteen
S: 10 minutes, I tell you
K: We have a little fight about it...

K: ...how long it takes to go to anywhere
S: Well it won't take that long to come here...
K: How come your time moves faster than mine?
S: *shrugs*
K: I don't understand
S: I came from somewhere further away...I don't know
K: Look! We start right away...Frankenstein Parking. We left our car there, we came over there on a highway, it says there - everywhere was signs "Welcome to Universal City". And there like everything...these are these highways and listen, they are...I'm so fed up at those at this point.
S: Yes
K: Whenever you go to all these places, you are like did I come here before...Hey, we're going to go there! It says Universal Studios there.
*By the fountain*
K: Hollywood!
S: Hollywood, so we are here right next to Hollywood. The weather isn't the most pleasant today, but we'll try to have fun anyway.
K: Yes we will.
S: It's not cold though, it's warm.
K: We will so yo uguys all the best places

K: Look what we bought...priority passes...no annual passes...what are these? Annual passes
S: I was already walking through the gate
K: You go in the gate. These tickets cost 74 dollars! You can buy an Annual pass - annual pass. Or you can buy a daily pass - they cost the same! 74 dollars. This doesn't make any sense. Then if you want to get past the lines, then it's 119 dollars. Kinf of expensive, so expensive. You should buy one for the day...no buy one for the whole year when you're at it.
S: Yes then you can here practically every day
K: We will often come here again
S: I have some time off in the end of the year so coming back here.

K: Okay then, now we jumped here into the Studio, what is this? Studio Tour?
S: Studio Tour like this sort of sightseeing buss
K: Yes. In this we'll see al the places where all the series are made. We just passed some of those horrible...some sort of brown boxes. There's like so many of those big concrete boxes - well big buildings, where they shoot all the like CSIs and whatever - they've filmed all kinds of mocies and everything.
S: Yes there's not just series shoot in those, but movies also. And we just passed those sort of bungalows where some of the old movie stars have lived
K: Yes. These days those are like resting places for the directors and
S: Yes
K: And now we just went through this amazing tunnel!
S: We went this kind of Jurassic...
K: King Kong...
S: King Kong tunnel. There was these screens around like in a safari jungle
K: Yeah yes, it was like these amazing 3D thing, we wore this glasses...these, we looked really smart
S: I felt a bit sick when this buss swayed and there's some water pouring on us
K: Yes, it was unbelievable, like so unbelievable. In a few minutes we'll go see Wisteria Lane, Desperate Housewives, so we'll continue our journey.
S: Yes

K: Listen here it's been shoot, now at this place they've shoot six movies at the same time! They said that this is like 6 streets crossroad or something like that
S: Six streets crossroad, yes. This is awesome, they've build a whole town. We just passed a building where Lady Gaga has shoot here latest...I don't know if it's the latest...
K: ...music video, one of the latest music videos.
S: Yes that video
K: Yes, well, a spanish part of a town. There's different parts of town. Then we saw this huge, amazing flood just a moment ago, it was so amazing!
S: Yes, it was like Jurassic Park
K: They showed us how floods are made, how the water just suddenly...horrible thunder - you can hear this awful sound and the water came from all these darn up from there
S: Some sort of watering...
K: These are kind of small these sets...this is kind of like...
S: Yes, but it's always like these palces are build so well, but yes these studios always look...blaablaa
K: You can see there that those houses are so different from behind, there's nothing on that other side of the house, they are all empty
S: Film a bit from there (To Pete)

S: They've pictures here this whole part of town, whole Europe, what and European town looks like. I don't feel that at home here, like Helsinki doesn't look at all like this!
K: You can film here in this one area - a small like a metre by metre area - you can shoot all the European series and European scenes - like "Have you even been to Europe?" This doesn't look at all like Europe.
S: Maybe Barcelona
K: Spain
S: Or Italy, a bit

K: That just announced, for real I'm like crying here...! We were just told that we are going to Wisteria Lane, the filming place of the Desperate Housewives.
S: So your favourite hood
K: My favourite place...I mean favourite series! I just watched David Lettermand when Eva Longoria was a guest and she told that they have made deals for the 8th and 9th season. So those are coming...
S: So the series will continue
K: Lovely, I'm so happy...or like the deals are almost sure. And then well, we were just told that we'll get to go there. They don't always let people there, because the when they shoot outdoor footage, then you can't drive around in this tourist car.
S: No, tourist buss
K: No I mean we're going there like...Huuuhh!
S: But we'll take footage in there when we're...
K: Wonderful!
S: When are at the Desperate Housewives'
K: I'm so happy!
S: ...hood.
K: Yes, you definitely should come here if you're a Wisteria Lane fan, I mean Desperate Housewives fan or whatever.

K: Now listen we've seen like the most amazing studio where everything is filmed. But you know what?
S: Yes Desperate Housewives set...it just flew by...
K: Like for real!
S: We were like "Was that it?" and we were like they shoot CSI here and suddenly it was Wisteria Lane
K: They were shooting CSI and then we were there like 20 seconds and at that time Wisteria Lane just flew by
S: Flew just past our eyes
K: Here it is and we had time to take 2 pictures, so we'll put you guys those...of that though there's like nothing to see anyway
S: We expected too much of it!
*laughing and so much talking, it's hard to make sense* :D

K: Okay then, now lastly we decided to go to Water World
S: Mmm
K: And now we have these so called wet places
S: We're so going to get wet!
K: Yes they said "Do you want to get wet?" "No" "But we don't have any other places left" Well, let's go!
S: This is our last place, we're getting wet and freeze and then...well it's warm here!

S: But the water show was so amazing and the effects were great and all and all, what do you think about this whole place?
K: Like this place was amazing! In my opinion the best part was that hour long drive at the studio staged, you got to see everything. And then, the other side here, there's like all these, like 3D shows and stuff. If you want to be here all day, then you can enjoy a long time here. Lots to shop if a tourist wants to buy a T-shirt
S: I was just saying to Katri that she has this compulsion to buy something.
K: But Sauli said "You don't want that kind of tourist shirt for yourself"
S: Lame
K: Well it is a bit lame yes
S: It is a bit lame

S: And were can you were those, at your own couch?
