Christmas spirit and two movies
I got a haircut on Thursday and I don't like it very much. The back is very un-layered and therefore poufy. I called my salon today and a manager is going to call me tomorrow and hopefully I'll get a free fix-up! My hair is too important to me and I pay too much for haircuts to live with this.

What do you think? We've really got it down to a science after all these years. Since they started giving us that E-Z Build tray and pre-mixed icing we can have the house done in about half an hour, and with no mess at all. Leslie and I are pros. I love being at Leslie's at Christmas but I missed her parents, boo.
We went to see The Holiday and I looooved it. My only beef is that Cameron Diaz and Jude Law were much too tan or too teeth-y to be on screen so much together! It was hard on the eyes. And Jude Law's character was the sweetest man ever and I just can't believe him in that role! He's too slick.
I loved Jack Black though, and Kate Winslet. They were adorable. And the old man. Old man story lines! Eek.

The jewellry was AMAZING in that movie, especially Cameron Diaz's necklace in the beginning. The movie is from the same director (or something) as Something's Gotta Give, which also had beautiful necklaces (when Diane Keaton goes on the date with Keanu) so I'm wondering if the same costumer did both movies...
Yesterday I went with Krysta and my nana to the Christmas carol sing along for the Toronto Star Santa Claus Fund. It was nice! Christmas isn't Christmas until we sing Good King Wenceslas! There was a big family in front of us, a grandmother and three sets of husbands and wives, one had a little daughter that was about 3, one had two boys that were probably 5 and 7, and one had a baby girl. They were all so cute when they first arrived, and the baby was surprisingly good, but those two boys were getting SO BAD and ahhh. Oh well.
After, Krysta and I went to see Stranger Than Fiction which was very good. Oh Maggie Gyllenhaal. I wish I could be an anarchist baker and somehow have a beautiful house. HOW DO PEOPLE MAKE MONEY? It was a good movie, I rather liked it. Dustin Hoffman. Woooo.
I love left-handedness and I love when actors write in movies so I can see if they're left-handed. Will Ferrell is left-handed. Vicki and I saw The Lake House in the summer and found that Keanu Reeves is left-handed (and therefore I found him attractive for the first time ever). When I saw 8-mile I found out Eminem is left-handed. Wonderfulll.
After the movie Krysta and I spent a longgg time in Indigo, which I've done about three times this week. I can't resist looking at books! I didn't buy anything but I want so much.
Then we walked through U of T and I gave Krysta an informal ghost tour and told her all my geeky U of T knowledge. At Convocation Hall there was a big crowd and I realised it was for the Vinyl Cafe Christmas show. There are two shows today as well but I really shouldn't go because I have four exams this week! I will be satisfied listening to it right now, and next weekend they will play this year's show on the radio. Maybe next year I'll go.
