Personally I don't care one way or the other. I do find it sort of unbelievable that certain characters wouldn't be circumcised, considering how prevalent it is in this day and age, though, so for me it always depends on the fandom. I've read some Glee fic where they go on and on lovingly about Puck's cut dick or whatever, but the thing is, pretty much all those boys are going to be cut. None of them come from the kind of background/parentage that would have made the conscious decision not to do it.

But again, it depends on the fandom, and even then it's not about gross-out factor or squick or whatever. It's just about realism for me. Others' mileage may vary; the commenter's opinions are not endorsed by management; etc. etc.

Very, very true. I had tossed an idea around for a while before deciding it was too much My Kink™, but I ended up still being curious about whether or not people would be averse to declaring canon characters uncircumcised. Sadly for Glee, there's not much leeway there, since, y'know... Ohio. If it were set in California, it'd be anyone's guess. Or if any of the guys were ethnic (besides Mike). Ah well.

Being able to ask people's opinions about fictional genitalia. I love Livejournal.

Seriously, LJ is the best thing ever. I love that we can have these sorts of discussions. And I am always down with encouraging other people's kinks, as long as it works with the canon. Stupid, limiting Ohio canon.

White boys. :shakes head:
