Last night, I became aware that I was dreaming. It was the weirdest thing. I know that happens to a lot of people, but I'd never experienced it before. Typically, my dreams are very vivid and surreal, and I just get pushed along until I wake up. This time, though, I caught on. You know how there are always things that seem logical while you're dreaming, but when you wake up, you realize they made no sense? I noticed those during the dream. And not just that - going off of that, I concluded that I was in a dream. I didn't change anything. I don't think I had that much control. I did decide to play along and just enjoy it. It involved a beloved I've lost. It's hard to not want to cling onto that for as long as possible.
We're off to get Jaime's counts checked. He's down to weekly visits now. Once his hemoglobin's up and he gets the PET scan (and if it comes back clean), he can actually be normal again. Well, except for the fact that he still can't drink because of the steroids he's on for the IIH.
Speaking of drinks, does anyone else equate certain drinks (or foods) with certain activities? For example, FFXII = margaritas, as we were undergrads then and it was quick and pretty cheap to blend up some margarita mix and tequila. Persona 3, on the other hand, was all about gin and tonic, with the black light on. The quinine in the tonic water makes it glow. I don't have any drink for P4, sadly, since booze was forboden to Jaime during his chemo. He asked me last night what my Persona 4 food was, and I just couldn't come up with anything. Hrmm.
Oh, and the P3 food was mini cupcakes. They go well with gin and tonic. Yep.
