I decided to check out the Wikipedia article for Pushing Daisies, as everyone and her brother seems to be in love with it, and discovered that the basic premise is almost exactly the same as one I was going to use for a story. From Wiki: "Pushing Daisies centers on the life of Ned, a man who has the mysterious ability to bring the dead back to life by touching them once. However, there's a catch: if he touches the revived person a second time, they die permanently; and if a person is revived for more than one minute, someone else nearby dies."
My story was going to be about a girl who can kill or revive people by touching them. The catch is, she can only revive or kill any given person once, and she can't revive someone who was killed by her touch. Also, for every person she brings back, another person dies, as a natural balance of sort. Fuck, I really liked the plot, too. If I write it now, it'll just seem like a ripoff. Maybe I can wait ten years and write it then. Or, maybe I can just say "Fuck you, I thought of it on my own," and damn anyone who calls me a thief. Aaaaaaaaaargh. I really liked that one, too.
