*I'm the tallest person in the PT department. Seriously.
*Old people annoy the hell outta me.
*Elevators are tools of the devil.
*Having a computer screen that faces the office lobby turns you paranoid.
*The UCA website sucks.
*QualChoice is the best freakin' insurance in the world.
I really like my job. It's professional, and I can surf the 'Net whenever I feel like it. Which is often because it's really stinkin' boring right now. Classes don't start until Thursday, and so there's no one in the building. On top of that, there's no undergrad PT major- just the DPT. So at the most I have to deal with 130 people, faculty included, and all of the students will be in the building one week in February, and that't it. Otherwise, the 2nd and 3rs years are out on clinicals all semester.
All the professors are short. Even the men. The only person who's even close to my height is Charlotte, the advisor, and I've got a good three inches on her. It's wierd. And I cannot find a desk chair that's the right height for me- they're all too short.
But really that's all I have to complain about at the moment. That and the fact that my OB/GYN moved to Houston, so I have to find another one. And none of the ones in town that accept my insurance are taking new patients. Grr...
Tyler got his iPod, and will NOT stop playing with it. Not that I mind. I thought he was dead when I woke up on Friday morning. He's been sick, both from his kidney thing and from the meds he's on. And when I woke up, I couldn't hear him breathe, and his entire body was still and cold. It was seriously one of the scariest minutes in my life. But as it turned out, he wasn't really dead, just really soundly asleep. So really in the grand scheme of life it's not a problem that he likes his new toy so much.
It's really wierd, but all the Harry Potter stuff I've been reading lately has started to influence my speech patterns. I actually told someone today that while they were out of the office, someone rang for them, instead of called. And I refered to our jaunt to WDW next December as 'a lovely holiday' rather than a vacation. I'm going nuts.
Speaking of being crazy, I saw a shrink last week. He was really nice, but he had chicken legs. Anyway, he changed my dosages, so we'll see how it goes. But if I go postal and start having tea parties with the dog, you'll know why.
TICK-tock TICK-tock... our clock sounds like it has a limp.
