Let's talk about burns, shall we?

Those heat resistant rubber spatulas? Don't believe them for a second. I was stirring some soup at work on Thursday with one of those and turned around for a second when my mom said something to me. I turn back around, and see that something has fallen on the burner, and instinctively grab said heat resistant spatula to scrape it off (it's happened before). Turns out, the thing that had fallen on the burner was the spatula.

My hand and pinkie finger kind of looks like one of those scare videos from high school health classes, you know, the here's-what-will-happen-to-you-if-you-have-sex-or-chew-tobacco-or-drink-before-you-finish-high-school videos. The swelling of the blisters is about half what it was yesterday, but now my hand itches like crazy.

The best part? When I had my wisdom teeth out four years ago, the strongest med they would give me was ibuprofen 600, dry socket factored in and all. For this burn? Vicodin. Yes; it hurt[s] that badly.

Wooden spoons sound like a great option for the rest of my life.
