I am very much amused by the idea of love at first sight. Romeo and Juliet always irritated the fuck out of me, because, disregarding how young they both were, it's ridiculous to think you can love someone enough to die for them that quickly. There might be people who do this and get ridiculously lucky - they eventually become the soulmates they always thought they were - but the grand majority of the time, love requires work. It doesn't just happen.
