Hmm . . . on Florida's ballot for this election is the option of an amendment that would
"protect marriage as the legal union of only one man and one woman as husband and wife and provides that no other legal union that is treated as marriage or the substantial equivalent thereof shall be valid or recognized."
read: ban gay marriage. My mother, upon reading this: "Why is this on here? Why do I care if they get married or not?"
Ahahahahaha . . . Really, I'm not sure if the worst part is her occasional obliviousness to the current times, or the fact that the text goes on to state that the financial impact of the amendment will likely be minor. Always got an eye on the money, hmm?
