I am late to post this, and for that, I apologise. Both the lovely letter from
cyanshadow (reply is on its way!!!) and the amazing parcel from
lightofthewind arrived just in time for German Christmas (24th Dec)! Being majorly stressed out since pretty much early November, they were things I very much looked forward to unpacking right on the 24th (my first day of break), and unpack I did~ But then I fell ill right after the holidays and my brainspace went ???? so here we are.... almost two weeks late without Starbucks bc my stomach still objects... But enough with the whining, LOOK AT ALL THE THINGS!!
The wrapping paper had such a classy look to it~ And ngl I laughed lots when I discovered Sakazaki-senpai on the letter :D :D I could tell by the sender's name on the parcel ofc who my santa was, but even the moe Moa birds made a return!!! :D
Just as classy as the paper? This card :) Thank you for the kind wishes and going out of your way to cater to things you thought I might like!! I'm currently too busy to pick up new reading, but the link is noted /eyes emoji
The first package I opened turned out to be this very cute bear bag! This one will definitely be put to use for my brotherkids next year :D
I also can't wait for next year's Christmas season because OH BOY am I now armed with STICKERS AND FABRIC TAPE!!! There shall be no compromises when it comes to me decorating, ooooh no. MOAR STICKERS!!! :D And the papers are super prettty and versatile, too! :)
Next up, various chocolates and candies. Before the stomach flu of doom knocked me out, I did get to sampling (read: devour) several of them, and they were all delicious, 5/5 rinka approved.
Also, while this would look like a prank gift to many, for me it's like YES THANKS because as a teacher, if your voice is wrecked? Well, godspeed, so is your day. I of course hope I won't have to use them anytime soon, but I'm glad to have them. Also it was fun to try and read all the labeling by squinting and playing Romance language roulette :'D (Last year I ended up reading 10-ish chapters of a manga in Brazillian Portughese bc it wasn't available in any other way, very similar feeling of "I can almost read it but it feels like how you think you can speak a language in a dream and in real life it's just gibberish you're saying" lol).
Next up was this Imperial Jade Seal. Wait, no, let me check my notes... apparently it's soap? No way. Too pretty. Clearly an ancient Jade Seal. Also don't mind the bandaids. As my sister once said, she can always tell when it's my hands on a photo because I have at least one bandaid on them at any point in time.
I was particularly curious about what could be in this extra bag -
Turns out it was super fancy tea! I tried some on Christmas Day and it legitimately tastes like a delicious almond-cherry cake turned into smooth black tea. So good!!
And finally, I could tell from the feel of the last package that it would probably be the scarf I asked for, and lo and behold!
The picture can't do justice to how SOFT it is. It feels like cuddling an angora rabbit. SO SOFT, NOT SCRATCHY AT ALL, I love it. The colours range from subdued blues to berry colours which means it goes with just about everything in my wardrobe :D I wore it on Christmas and NYE both, and it's definitely going to become a staple in my teaching wardrobe~
RINKA APPROVED :D
So, thank you again, friend, for being a fantasticular santa!!!
