A simple prayer to start the day
Heavenly father,
please help me today to live for you - in singlemindedness, in love, in discipline, in loyalty and faithfulness.
Please give me a clear mind to learn of this world you created, sustain and are reconciling to you. Help me to love your creation like you do.
Please also give me love, which I lack in the bursts of tiredness and distraction throughout the day. Please give me patience and grace towards myself and others.
I thank you for all your blessings to me - health, education, food, shelter, energy, water (and the list goes on).
May I live today in full reliance on your sustenance.
