Around December last year, I was invited to participate in Luerzer's 200 Best Illustrators Worldwide. I have no idea how they managed to find me, but I submitted my best children's illustrations anyway and hoped for the best. After half a year, I hadn't received any word so I sent them an email recently asking about the results. It seems I wasn't chosen, but they were nice enough to send me a copy of the book. Well, I wasn't expecting anything but I did keep a little bit of my hopes up. I'm glad I asked though, because at least I got a free book!
Though based on their past issues, I noticed that most of the style is the weird, eclectic kind. Perhaps my style didn't fit in it. Anyhow, I'm really curious about the entries that were chosen.
