Finished Eoin's HALF MOON INVESTIGATIONS! It's very short, spent about 3 nights reading it. It's a bit hard adjusting to a new set of characters to love after Artemis Fowl. Anyway, this kid, Fletcher Moon, talks like one of those hero-narrative detective shows. I can almost picture him with the accent... and in black and white. Since he's a kid-detective, I kinda had Detective Conan's image in mind (although Irene, an avid fan of Conan, says that Fletcher is nothing like him).
The plot has its twists, but in playground proportions, like the basic case of who stole so-and-so's organizer. Definitely kiddy, but once you start reading it, you can't put it down. Of course I wanted to know who was behind it all !!! I never knew grade schoolers could be so devious.
Moon's playground investigations aren't over yet though. I predict sequels coming... and when Half Moon growns up, will he then be known as FULL MOON??? O_O
I also have a theory that Mr. Colfer reads manga. Haha. I got that impression ever since Artemis Fowl, actually.
