Haha first days back...
Haha so yay i'm back at Maine!!!!! Its been an interesting and fun few days so far....lets recap...
Wednesday:
Move in Day!!! We werent allowed to move in until 7 pm....so we had alot to do in a short amount of time. We ended up renting a unhaul van and loaded the storage unit into it and were here at 7 ready to go...i'm glad we moved in early because between the 2 rooms we covered 3/4 of the hall with all kins of crap...i didnt know we had so much schtuff. so we got the lofts set up and got to bed at like 1 am.
Thursday:
WE went to the PAWS orientaton and were taught to be nice to the freshman and throw fish at them....haha i dunno....we were supposed to follow the "fish philosophy"...it was odd....so we came back and kept unpacking schtuff...for like ever...and more schtuff....and went to dinner...and unpacked more schtuff...not a really exciting day...
Friday:
FRESHIE MOVE IN DAY!!!!! So i had to get up at like 6 am to bring my dad and John to the bus terminal to go home. SO i got out of bed so quietly....i was so proud of myself!!!!so i started to sneak across the room and BAM!!!!!...of course i run STRAIGHT into the 2 beds we had sitting in the middle of the room cuz we had no where to store them....so yea...the sneaking didnt work really well...so i get back from the bus station and we all get ready to welcome the freshies! SO by the end of the day we had welcomed a total of about 175 people to the dorm i was working in. Now do the math. thats a minimum of 170 cars to unload PLUS most of them had 2 or 3 car loads...so guestimate at least 350 cars fullof heavy boxes to lug up in half the cases 5 flights of stairs. You can probably imagine how frickin tired and sore we were the next day. So we met alot of new people including our RD, whom thinks the 4 of us are quite odd. We got into th drom last night and randomly walked over to him and started talking. he gave us the look of "holy shit random people are talking to me....wtf..."...but yea, all of our RA's and our RD are really nice fun people. i have a good feeling about this year.
Saturday:
So this morning we got up and finished for the most part our room. We went shoppign for the room. OMG you should be so proud of us. we bought relatively healthy dorm food!!! We were good girls! llol so anyway we got it back to the room and spent the day in here watchin movies and cleaning and whatnot. So Renee call to let me know shes on campus and i went down to the lobby with Sarah and the RD and 2 male ras were in the office. So renee signs in and we go to bring her stuff upstairs and once we get to the elevator i jokingly said to them some thin along the lines of oh i c how it is we have 3 strong guys sittin there watching us poor women move all these heavy boxes to the 3rd floor...amd the Rd looked at us and was like "ok i'll help" with like a half guilty look on his face. i found it so freakin funny that i guilted the RD into helping us carry stuff up to the room. So sarah and i were heading back up to the 4th floor and I guess he was goin the same was so we were behind him on the stairs adn he was like hmm i think i'm being followed. So we get to the floor and he held the door for us to go first and Sarah was like "wow he holds doors too!" and he was like "Yep i'm a keeper!" lol
So then we for some reason get down to the lobby again to get candy(a few seperate times)and this time we brought a freshman down with us so we had an excuse. So the ras and Rd were sitting in the office at this point and wewere all sitting there laughing and i so got zinged!!! the Rd was making fun of me already!!!!! whats up with that!!!!!! lol i guess i deserved it....it was wicked funny.....
but now its like after midnight and i'm tired....so i'm going to bed....update eventually...night all!!!
