Oops, it's been a few weeks.

What have I been doing? Last week I was up in Kennewick, WA, visiting my friend Alyssa. I flew up Monday and came home Friday. She moved up there in 2015 and I finally went to see her, instead of her coming down here like she's done a bunch of times. We just hung out for the most part. I went to work with her for the morning on Wednesday (we were able to leave early) and then for the full morning on Thursday. She teaches pre-school; a MWF class and a TuTh class. Man, she has patience and also just the knack for it. Other than that, she showed me around the fun parts of the Tri-Cities area. We drank lots of coffee. I got a free facial, my very first, at a cosmetology school where her friend is a student. We went to dinner with some of her other friends on Wednesday. We also hung out a bit with her daughters, after they got home from school. Ran errands. Played with her 3 crazy dogs. Alyssa's 11 year old is almost as tall as her 17 year old. The elder just got her driver's license a week ago. She's a pretty good driver, though a little nervous. I told her she was a good driver and not to worry about little things. Alyssa and I also spent way too much time in a group Marco Polo with Karina, and also sending each other IG memes and reels. The weather there was wonderful! It was cool all week, and rainy on Wednesday and Thursday. I forgot what it's like in a place that isn't Arizona. It's also given me the travel itch, which is really hard to scratch. But, I do need to nail down a time to try NYC again.

I booked my flights to California for Christmas using the Southwest Airlines points they gave me after last year's debacle. I looked at other airlines just to see what else is available. Specifically Delta and Alaska, but also I think Travelocity. The other 2 airlines have far fewer options, and Phoenix to Oakland had some bizarre routes to choose from, like layovers in Salt Lake City, or even Seattle! What??? Why would anyone fly twice as far north to then come back down? Flight crews on Delta and Alaska were friendly (and I was a little worried about Delta) but Southwest is definitely the most fun. They have more fun making announcements and whatnot. They try to make you laugh. Delta and Alaska are just get business done.

My neighbor's foreclosure auction was cancelled. That's all the web site says. I researched to see how long someone can stay in a foreclosed property, and it's basically until the new owner kicks them out. Neighbor has had another guy and girl over a lot. I don't know if they are living there (instead of his SO/mother of his child who seems to live elsewhere). I don't know if nobody bid on the auction, or if he started making payments again. But, the second something else happens to my unit due to him, there will be words.

Angela and I are going to see Sting on Oct. 9. I put out feelers on FB one day, and Angela was the only bite. Well, Jessica seemed to say she wanted to go, but there was some weird misunderstanding. Like, did she even pay attention to the date I mentioned on my post? When I asked if I should get her ticket, she was like when, where? The said she can't go to that show. Anyway, I'm happy.
