I was a bad student and skipped school today

Yesterday I was contemplating skipping school, and I made my decision when I heard Toki was planning to go to Animate today. So epic trip to Ikebukuro is GO! (The following dedicated to carameltrap who has developed an unhealthy fixation on Otome Road.)

Otome Road isn't actually a real road. It's just a stretch of street from Ikebukuro Animate to K-books, spanning about maybe 150 meters? I have no idea, and I suck at math.

Usual starting point for Otome Road shopping trip is Animate. Except for me cos I usually beeline for the other end of the Road and K-books and actually, we started there today too. Animate's got 8 floors jam packed with anime, manga, magazines, character goods, figures... You name it, they probably have it.

Moving up the road toward Mandarake and K-books. There's actually a couple of differently themed K-books stores on the way, but these aren't as relevant to my interests.

Anime themed canned drinks. XD

One of the aforementioned K-books stores. But let's not stop here, let's go past the corner and across to...

...Mandarake. The entrance is downstairs, take a hard left between those two posters to go through the gate and enter the magical kingdom of homolust. Though the Ikebukuro store is so crammed that it's really hard to find anything there and you must watch your elbows or you might end up knocking out some unsuspecting Japanese fangirl.

From Mandarake, continue to the same direction still, go past the convenience store, walk for a block and you'll arrive to the other end of Otome Road.

In other words, K-books "female customer oriented" doujin store. If you go up the stairs here, you'll get to the doujin store. However, if you venture down the stairs, to below street level... You arrive to Swallowtail butler café. This building is truly the land of promise for the connoisseur. 8D

Okay, what did I spend my money on today you might ask? Quite a lot of things but most of them weren't for myself. I just got these:

Just missing three Bengals now from complete set (if my list is correct). Thanks to hotbutler I actually bought a freaking Kuroshitsuji doujin for myself (yes I know you look smug now). And I've been meaning to get Basara Battle Heroes for PSP for months, so I grabbed it second hand when I got the chance today.

And yeah I bought the new Pash! last week too, I didn't take many pics of it because I've been packing my stuff, but there's a few under this :

Came with a 07-ghost memorial booklet and...

...a set of Basara stickers.

What is this I don't even...

Basara poster!

And a FMA poster.

And there you have it!

kuroshitsuji, fujoshi life, magazines, fullmetal alchemist, stupid gaijin, sengoku basara, what is this i don't even, photos
