A vs KT-TUN part 2

Mar 10, 2010 14:25

Got a shock when ladahijau send me a pm on yt saying KT is having a worldwide tour but Jin will not be a part of it.
My first thought: *look at my pi's icon* After dropping all those subtle hints of not really enjoying your time with KT, is Jin really gonna go solo for good? No more Nakanishi moments other than when he brings up going for meals with Nakamaru-Nantoka-kun in his j-web? Really?
Then I did a couple of speed reading in kattunlove and was somehow slightly relieved.
A breaking off from KAT-TUN to create A vs KT-TUN? Not happening.
At least, not yet.
I've always been a Jin fan, and I call myself KT fan solely because of Jin. Started liking Nakamaru a little because of NakaNishi and then Junno a little because of JinNo. K-TU? Sorry, please exit via the left door.
In the end, it's still Jin for me, never truly KAT-TUN.
So, sorry to say to true (WHOLE) KAT-TUN fans out there, I'm not really that traumatized, though not having Jin particpating in KT's first ever worldwide tour does really make me feels sad, plus not excited for possible DVD release at all. I'm very sure I won't buy their DVD unless Jin somehow make a surprise visit, singing A Page or Paparats or maybe some other new English songs when everybody thought it's time for Junno's solo (to get back at him for stealing his seat in his BTR Wonder solo?), I might not even bother to download it when fans upload their dvd rips on fan comm. But I'm really disappointed in Jin's absence for the worldtour because I wanna hear those Korean and Taiwanese fangirls scream Jin's name too! (Mobbing and groping in the airport can be excluded, thank you. Having Pi going through that traumatizing experience in Seoul is more than enough...)
I feel really proud of Jin when I read 'some US producers really liked his previous You&Jin Solo Con and so invited him over to LA'. He's getting recognised not as the A of KAT-TUN anymore, but as Jin Akanishi. You go, Jin! =)
But then come the downside of it, it's really not easy to make it big in the US. Utada Hikaru tried, she couldn't make it. We all know how talented she is, and how great her vocals are. BoA tried, erm.... well.... not as great as how she did in Asia as well. Rain tried, as much as I would like to say he has done a great job, let's admit it. Apart from making Megan Fox hot.... *shakes head* NA is great in my eyes, but apparently not that many shares my taste. Wonder Girls are still trying... *rolls eyes* I wish they'd return to Korea real soon. I want new Korean songs, not recycled Nobodys!
So yup, after all those not very successful pioneers, a future in US that's comparable to what Jin has in Japan and other parts of Asia seems bleak, doesn't it? =(
I really hope he'll make it. (At least do better than the others who have tried...) But it's gonna be tough.
So, good luck to you Jin. Do your best. We'll all be supporting you.
No matter what are the outcomes, we'll still lub you. =)

kat-tun, rantings, jin
