They say that when someone breaks your heart, it feels cold and lonely, like your heart and soul have been ripped out. an empty, cold feeling in your stomach.
Key had never thought this was possible. Until now.

What did he do wrong? Why had all this happened?

It especially didn't help when every love ballad they sang reminded him of Jonghyun. It makes him sick to think that Up and Down was probably written for her, and maybe Obsession too. And it certainly did not help that Jonghyun acted all normal during performances, and when he gives Key that damned perfect smile and those puppy eyes that seemed to suck you into the world of puppy jjong, Key's heart would always waver.
But now Key knows that that smile of his was not entitled to only him anymore.
And the simple of thought of that would make him turn away from Jonghyun. Because he knows there was no point in returning that smile anymore.

Watching Jonghyun smile at those messages he received every second, and those love sick eyes made Key smile while it made him cry. His best friend has fallen in love. He never thought he'd see the day they're drift apart and how Jonghyun would actually ignore his best friend for a "high school friend whom I needed catching up with", but Key knows everything. Had all those fanservice meant nothing?
The story would never end so easily, and everything that happened had only be a possibility in the past, but as time goes by Key could never pretend how he had always believed they would be together, and how that simple dream of his has been burst in just a few seconds.

Because after all, Key just wanted to hear 3 words from Jonghyun.
