For whatever reason, I watched SuperBrawl X today. The show is really, really, REALLY bad. Could the show have been good? I *think* so. By the way, the card would have been a lot better had WCW not released Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Perry Saturn and Dean Malenko. Plus, Goldberg is out until The Great American Bash, thanks to breaking a window with his hand. Who knew Goldberg was Amare Stoudemire's hero?
WCW Championship Match: Scott Hall def. Sid Vicious (C) and Jeff Jarrett to win the WCW Title (Hall pins Jarrett)
- Let's be real. Jarrett is one of the worst WCW Champions ever. On top of that, NOBODY thought he was a main eventer, except Vince Russo. Since Jarrett is in the main event, he's taking the pinfall. This will lead to Hall vs. Sid for the WCW Championship at Uncensored. Was Hall unreliable? Yes, but he's a better option than Jarrett or Sid as champion.
Death Match: Ric Flair vs. Terry Funk
- The match is fine, but the rest periods need to go.
Cruiserweight Championship: Rey Mysterio def. Kidman and Prince Iaukea (C) to win the Cruiserweight Title
- The Artist Formerly Known as Prince Iaukea was sooo bad. Putting a belt on him was a bad idea. Giving the belt to Rey is always a good thing.
Steel Cage: Hulk Hogan vs. "The Total Package" Lex Luger
- This is Hogan's revenge for Luger breaking his arm. After the match, Sting returns and lays Luger out.
Tag Team Championship: Three Count def. Big Vito and Johnny the Bull (C) to win the Tag Team Titles
- As big as boy bands were back then, and the fact that Three Count were good wrestlers, might as well put the straps on them. Plus, Big Vito and Johnny the Bull sucked.
World Television Championship: Booker T def. Jim Duggan (C), Stevie Ray and Norman Smiliey to win the World Television Title
- The World TV Title is a good start for Booker in 2000.
Hardcore Championship: Bam Bam Bigelow def. Brian Knobbs to retain the Hardcore Title
#1 Contender to the Cruiserweight Championship: Juvi vs. Psychosis
- Winner gets gets a title shot at Uncensored
Special Main Event Match: The Demon vs. Vampiro
- Due to their contract with KISS, The Demon must be in a PPV Main Event.
Kevin Nash vs. Dustin Rhodes
So there you go, 10 matches, which was the norm for a WCW PPV.
