Flagstaff
I think LJ is playing mind games with me...I swear it!! It's working O.K. now.. Lots of ... dots!! Ok so it's 3AM and I decided to write! More like i've been putting off writing while people like Jewls and Kristin are updating. Jewls is my new friend :) I like calling her my new friend because it makes me feel like someone who doesn't make friends very often or i'm like 5 years old talking to my mom about my first day of school. "I made a new friend today at school! I was on the bus, and i'm like 'Can I sit here?' she says 'sure! lets be friends!' So I said 'OK!'" I have noooo idea what that was about rather than being compltely pointless. :D
Annnnyway...since I am now updating about my exciting life. Did they just say they made out behind a dumpster on this radio show? Because that is so romantic. Really? Yes, they did because the guy on the radio was like "Did you just say you went behind a dumpster and made out?" I swear that was so random.
Before I rudely interrupted myself lets get to what happened with Flagstaff since it's an important day to update (and Kristin will want to compare notes ten years later :p) So Kristin and I hand been talking about going to Renaissance Faire about a month ago and invited Jewls to come along with us. Kristin was able to get the day off on Thursday the 11th. I called up Jamie and switched her my Thursday shift for a Wednesday. She was cool about it. Jamie is an awesome girl. She actually ended up switching with Jason on Sat too after she worked 2 jobs that day. Damn. Crazy-ness! Kristin got the day off to talk with an advisor about school. So everything is all fine and dandy. THEN we found out that Ren faire isn't even open on the weekdays. WTF? WHY did we NOT know that? Oh well. We decided to make the best of it and do something else that would be fun. Went through many different ideas. Going up North, looking at art museums, zoo, etc. Well the day before I was talking to Julie about the plans online and it was just one big confusion. We decided on Sedona and possibly Flag too. Her "friend" was going to come along with us but we needed enough room to fit in K's car. Her backseat is kind of small and I wasn't sure if my car would have been big enough either. Though looking at it now, probably would have been. So we asked Julie to ask if A wouldn't mind driving because his car sounded big enough, though nobody wanted to impose on him. Then we weren't sure if he needed to be home by a certain time and all that jazz. Jewls told us that she'd find out what time he needs to be home at in the morning and give us a call. Umm so A had an appointment and Jewls decided to go with him to the zoo. K gets to my house at 12:17 (I looked at the time when I got her text)
So the trip to Flag (which is where we decided to go, obviously) was really exciting. There was dirt and more dirt, then we got into some trees. I was the photographer and got to take pics of all the excitement. Oh and we found some cows too! "Them aint no cows, them ants!" LMAO Kristin you fuuunnny girrrl. But it really did get exciting when we started getting further North. We started seeing snow. I snapped so many pics of the snow. K and I are from Phoenix, born and raised, never lived anywhere else and that was the most snow we ever saw. It was so beautiful to look at! So K and I are driving around and she's like "I don't know where we are" So she decided to follow a random car. Turns out the car was driving to school. We were at the NAU campus. I had wanted to go to the school and when I first signed up with GCC I was actually on the transfer program with them but then I guess I chickened out and changed to ASU. So I tried texting my friend from work since he lived out there for a year, he told us to just walk around downtown!
Kristin: Where the fuck is downtown?
Me: They have a downtown?
Hah, so we decided it would be best to check it out on her phone and look it up. We figured it out and found downtown, yay! We were looking for parking spots and since Kristin and I are both really clueless about snow she asks me "Am I supposed to actually park ON the snow?" I'm like "I guess." So we did. Kristin decides it would be fun to stand on the snow, but it was really really soft and she just sank in. It looked like fun so I got on it and did the same thing and of course fell on my ass. :p
We found this place to eat which was Beaver street brewery. They had awesome food but quesedillas and pizza is not a good mix. I swear that waitress probably thought we were doing coke in the bathroom or something. HAHA! After food we decided to play in the snow. It was some empty lot with snow which was probably about a foot deep? We were talking about how much fun it would be to just fall into or roll down. I halfway jumped in and Kristin did too...or maybe she fell I can't remember. We took lots of pics of us in the snow and K found some poop and HAD to take pics of it! We had lots of fun in the snow and then decided it was getting late so we wanted to head towards Sedona or at least drive through it. We took the backway. Kristin hated it. There was sooo many curves and Sedona loves circles. ^^; I've been there once before and I remember it was absolutely gorgeous but never at night. Even driving past it the view was simply breathtaking. I want to go back there another time. So came home and did god knows what. I can't remember I think I was pretty tired.
