Haha. Oh I love that. I love that the first thing he thought when he woke up was Veronica in the shower, there's something so sweetly sexy about that.
It's great to see Logan take such an investigative role too, the way he's putting things together, he's protecting her. Makes my heart all a flutter!
I love the descriptions of what she wears, the two dollar wine glasses, the best descriptions come on their night together on the boat. So, so beautiful.
On the elevator, she giggled, blew softly in his ear, all warm and cuddly-soft on his chest.
Something about this sentence, I just love it so much. It's so playful.
I love the incorporation of flash-backs as well. I'm a little confused why Logan went so down hill so suddenly after their summer together. Maybe because Veronica was getting skittish and he knew it?
And slumber-heat! Best thing ever. And I knew something bad was going to happen... damn you! The groceries... the smashed sour cream and the red glove. Oh how these details break my heart.
Squinting in the murky light, her gaze swept over her surroundings. Clearly a basement, the room was filled with stacks of cardboard boxes and metal barrels. She sniffed, and was met with the tangy, spoiled scent of stale beer, and the musty odor of damp earth. Her head throbbed again, she pushed at it, studied her fingers. Blood. Her blood, apparently.
I really love this. You take the time to evoke all of the senses, it's really powerful but super scary considering the trouble Veronica is in.
Oooooh action! And Logan, brandishing a gun! Sooo happy that the thug didn't have one as well. And it makes me so happy that the two journalists, Logan!, saved the day, but of course they wouldn't be journalists if it weren't for:
Panting, Jason stuck out his hand. “Man, what a story, Echolls. I can’t thank you enough.”
Man you must know some journalists to write that. :D
Oh Logan taking care of Veronica, undressing her, snarking with her, 3 top fanfic loves all in one fell swoop:
“Not even one as cute as you.”
“Not even me?” She leaned back, lip quivering, but both knew it was an act.
Oh I love their banter. Makes me fall in love with them all over again, like that other cute moment earlier when he asked her if she had a gun. Hee! Pixie-smile. And now this, even after what they just went through they can do this flirt thing together, I guess it's especially because of what they've been through. It just shows how strong they are and how they are meant to be. I'm cheesy I know. But this is my review damnit! <3
Mouth slanting down over hers, he cupped her face in his strong hands, moaned her name as his tongue stroked into her warm invite.
Love this sentence, so lovely and evocative. Like the rest of the smut actually. *clears throat*
Haha! Beautiful, perfect story *saves to mems*. And guess what? Don't hate me because it's just that good... SEQUEL!!!
It's your fault really.

Much as I like to write smut, I'm a big fan of those little moments that imply things, like a glance, eyes meeting, the thought of what's in the other room. So, I'm glad you liked Logan getting excited thinking about Veronica in the shower.
It's great to see Logan take such an investigative role too, the way he's putting things together, he's protecting her. - it was a kick to turn the table and have Logan do the investigating for a change. LOL
I'm a little confused why Logan went so down hill so suddenly after their summer together. Maybe because Veronica was getting skittish and he knew it? In my head, Veronica wanted to avoid the issue of their future, that is, hers and Logan's, so she siezed upon his drunken kiss w/ Parker to run away - to Stanford. I'm not sure Logan did anything particularly wrong, other than kissing Parker, of course, but Veronica never needs much of an excuse to break it off and flee. Logan graduated and went on to get his Masters in journalism at Columbia, I think. Sorry if it was unclear....
You take the time to evoke all of the senses, it's really powerful but super scary considering the trouble Veronica is in. What a wonderful compliment - and I'm thrilled it was scary!
In case you hadn't guessed - I love journalism and journalists. ;D
To me, the snark - and the smut, hee! - are the hallmarks of Logan and Veronica's relationship. So happy it worked for you.
