Uta no Oniisan Ep 7
Okay. So the big wind up as things are coming to an end. Okay, I get it. Really. But... was anyone else disappointed?
I hated Kenta yelling at Manabe. He's supposed to love her, damn it.
I STILL hate Akane. I don't care. She fucked up, she deserves what she gets. Move on already.
I don't WANT the kiddie show to end. Stupid

Don't feed the compulsive idea-getter! DDD:
It'd be neat if Aiba does a drama, but I somehow feel like he doesn't want to...

...come on, you can totally imagine Aiba's idea of porn, right? He'd be all back and forth between raunchy and romantic and completel lack ANY sort of theme at all. Sho would close his eyes through all of it. Jun would micromanage every. single. second.
You know, I totally had the same impression about Ohno. Until Maou happened. And then he whipped almost right into Oniisan. And... it was like Ohno loved me or something.
I think the thing about Aiba, from what I've gleaned from 24hrTV and various interviews and such, is that he feels like he's lagging behind the others. I'm sure he's had offers, but...maybe he's just not ready yet.
On the other hand, this is their 10th year almost. Everyone seems to be making a huge push for Arashi and Aiba will want to do something individual too, just like the rest... so... *crosses fingers all hopeful like*

Actually, what I initially thought of was Ohno's aesthetic appreciation for Nino's ass, but we can work with all of that. Especially Sho's embarassment. Definitely with that.
Hm, it really might be something like that kind of fear. But I guess we'll see after Greenfingers ends what kind of projects he intends to do. 10 years is bigggg.

You TEASE!
*giggles* Well, of course Ohno's appreciation for Nino's ass is very important. Especially since Nino so rarely lets him demostrate it.
Ten years is HUGE. I mean... and you look back on other JE groups. Their popularity had already waned by the 10 year mark. Arashi's hasn't ever been higher.

(My notes to myself seriously do go like, 'Someone something something YAY! Something something something ONOES! Something something WRYYYY. ... Just by looking at it you'd wonder how it'd ever transform into an actual piece of writing. I really like amusing myself. :P)
Arashi is interesting. They had a strong debut, then they kind of slowed down, and ever since then they've been building momentum that isn't stopping because they all work like hell. I dunno. Their work ethic and modesty is what I really like about them.

Sometimes, it's hard for me to tell just how different Arashi is from other JE groups. Mostly, cause I just don't care to spend the time learning. One thing I have noticed though, is that it seems like NEWS and Kat-Tun have a bigger following than Arashi in the West than they neccesarily have in Japan. At least from what I can clean from LJ.
They do ALL WORK LIKE HELL. When I stop and think about them with their Arashi shows, radio shows, DRAMAS, MOVIES, STAGE PLAYS, PROMO APPEARANCES, INTERVIEWS, PHOTOSHOOTS, CONCERTS, AND THEY STILL HAVE TIME TO MAKE MUSIC AND LEARN CHOREO?!?
And then you hear about things like Nino living and working out of a hospital and they only get 3 hours of sleep at night... and I sometimes just want them to RELAX. I have to wonder what they tell themselves when they get burnt out. Partly, I think that's why Nino took a year off from any acting and maybe why Ohno and Aiba have stayed away from dramas 'til now.

"A Komodo dragon with wings would be amazing. It'd be snapping everywhere, and flying," the young man muses, now crouched down and peering at the carefully crafted face. "Wow, hey, ow!"
Wonder who that is. Hm...
Anyway, yeah. Health is definitely a concern. And ah, that reminds me of when Sho appeared on Oshareism and seemed utterly shocked himself when the host started listing out all the things he was doing. I'm sure they know what they're doing, though, by now. They're also probably very conscious of what an important time period this is for them. Stressful ( ... )

Also? *gushes all over you* I basically turn to mush when anyone talks about Arashi in glowing terms, even as a fan. I think... I mean, even just looking at myself. I'm a 26yr old lesiban who doesn't speak a word of Japanese living in America. And I'm willing to shell out airfair, hotel and ticket prices to see them in Hawaii. There has to be something special in their appeal for that to be the case.
In how they're reaching out... absolutely. A newscaster is an idol? A genuine artist? Hollywood actor. Not just acting in an American movie. But an Oscar Nominated, Clint Eastwood LEAD ROLE type of movie. They're redefining what an idol is. And make it look like it's the best job ever.

They deserve to be talked about how they glow with the power of a THOUSAND RAINBOWS. :D
Oop, sleep time.

Me too.
Have happy Arashi dreams of rainbows, sparkles and sunshine. With the occasional emo-raincloud. Because sometimes Jun is moody.
