I love the idea that Danny was in Missing Children's. it explains ALOT about some of his reactions.

For me, the most daunting thing about writing intimacy with Danny and Rebecca, heck Rebecca and anyone, is how she deals with what's been done to her and how that effects her relationships with anyone she's intimate with as an adult. I love how you explore this with Danny, that it's not just Rebecca remembering what was done to her, but any lover she takes who knows her past. This just made me happy, that Danny's attuned to that violation and yet he still wants to be the first to touch a part of Rebecca that no one else has. It means she's more than sex to him. Really lovely. :)

I'm glad that it makes you happy. And yeah, it's an issue that is going to surface one way or another.

Exploring those ways is what I love about the Inside. And I love the first stirrings of attraction for Rebecca too. Before those deeper issues have to be dealt with.

I love how Rebecca's abduction affects Danny in that he doesn't want to remind her of what she went through, even though a sexual relationship prob reminds her of it a lot. I love how careful he is, and how he has to get over it aswell, and how he deals with it by making his "own" spots on her... yeah I just loved it.

Beautifully written, I love this and all the nuances in it.

I think my favorite part is this line here.
"He wonders if it’s ingrained, like a dirty tattoo, in her muscle memory."

It's just so perfect and dead on.
