So I got tapped to write three episodes for The Firefly Virtual Season 2. Co-written with aliaspiral Homecoming is our first episode. It went live last night. And I'm a mess over it.

Seriously.

I'm so scared. I haven't been so nervous about something. I think because if it sucks, I'm brining down Alia with me.

I'm sure it doesn't suck.

And holy cow! Where did that drawing of Adam come from?????

Uh... where was I?? *stares*

Er... I will read it today when I get a chance and let you know positively that it doesn't suck...

That was courtesy of CantonsHeroine, over at Fireflyfans.net. It was a pencil drawing and I just did some color manipulation.

She's seriously talented. I'm always in awe.

And hee! "Everywhere I go, his eyes follow me." Honest to god, they do! Try it.

Had to let you know how much I loved your episode!

(Hope this isn't too tacky, but it's the same comment I posted to aliaspiral, you're partner-in-crime. Dang, but you guys are good together!)

Loved it. Fun Jayne bits (of course he's going to flirt with Kaylee's Mom, and hauling Kaylee back to the ship was perfect.) Kaylee's willingness to give up Serenity for her family, Wash trying to convince Zoe about the dog (Little Gun!) and Zoe not having any of it. Mal's concern for the dogs (how mean of a mean old man are you again?) and Simon's foot in his mouth...until he says the right thing.

"I'm a doctor. It's what I do." I think this has to be one of my favorite Simon lines -- ever.

Loved it.

Forgot to mention River's flirting lesson! {Priceless! And so very River.

"You already like me. Didn‘t have to try."

Might could be she needs a couple more lessons, but it was a much appreciated beginning!

Not quite done yet (right now Jayne's flirting with Kaylee's mom), but you guys did a great job! I can't wait for the next ones you do.

Oh that is so far beyond not sucking I'm not even sure I have words. *flail*

Absolutely wonderful! Loved everything. Jayne flirting with Kaylee's mom, Simon's perpetual foot in mouth disease, Little Gun, Wash trying to convince Zoe to keep a puppy, "I'm a doctor. It's what I do", the whole scene in the engine room when Kaylee was saying goodbye to Serenity, and omg... River/Finn.

*LOVES*

Really, you guys did a great job!

Thank you! I am so very neurotic about it. I just adore River/Finn and I want everyone else too as well.

Whew, sorry it took me so long to comment! I hadn't read any of the episodes before yours and it took me a good while to get through them (some of them had their good parts, but I can honestly say that I only read them so that I could see Homecoming).

Okay, first and foremost--Jayne flirting with Kaylee's mom had me laughing so much! I had to struggle to keep it down so my roommate wouldn't think that I was a lunatic. Also, you guys wrote Simon really well! I loved that he was trying so hard to make the right impression on Kaylee's parents; which of course made it all the more bittersweet when they showed their dislike of him. I was in agony every time he said the wrong thing...poor boy...he's so socially inept. Also, Finn has to be my favorite OC ever! He and River make such a cute couple! I especially adore that scene between the two of them with the puppies where River is trying to figure out why he's flirting with her. I could really picture it very clearly in my mind, great job! And Kaylee's family was perfect! I can't imagine a ( ... )

So very much thanks on the feedback! Honestly, it means the world and I made sure Alia saw it too.

As far as the experiance goes... it sucked. I'm horrible with deadlines. I've co-written more fic than I've ever written by myself, but not usually in the format we used for this episode. I'm used to goign back and forth in an IM rather than chunks.

Aw, I'm sorry that it was less than enjoyable for you; But the end product is great, so I'm glad you saw it through to the end. :)

But I know exactly what you mean about deadlines; I wrote a monthly newsletter for a year all by my lonesome and it was a HUGE pain to get it done on time. Being under a time limit on writing is really stressful and it can feel like a lot of pressure-but at least it’s over now and you can start to heal. =]
