Katy Chronicles pt. 3: Crunking in the New Year!
...or so I wish.
I'm a little behind in updating, but here's what I've been up to since Christmas.
On the 26th, the family and I went to watch the Houston Ballet perform the Nutcracker.
It was my first time watching ballet and I thoroughly enjoyed it, even the backgrounds and props!
I felt kinda stupid though because I recognized a lot of the music except I didn't know it was from the Nutcracker.
And then for the past few days it's been shopping, shopping, shopping.
Yesterday we were about 3 hours away from the house in a huge outlet mall in San Marcos.
For dinner we were at Clear Springs that has the best onion rings in Texas and as it turns out, the best I've ever tasted!
We stayed in the town overnight at a Holiday Inn, in a cool loft suite!
I accidentally mentioned something about a hooker motel room but no one caught everything I said. Phew!
This morning we were driving around UT:Austin since it's one of my brother's college choices.
It's so weird because it's part of downtown and you can't really tell where the campus begins or ends!
(Speaking of which, yesterday I saw a bunch of their football fans pile into a super-stretched Hummer limo; talk about disgusting!)
Apparently their UT Longhorns kicked USC's ass recently or something?
My dad laughed at me about that but I just rolled my eyes at him.
Also, dad was telling my brother about having to pay $100 per month for a parking permit.
I got to tell 'em that it's $100 to park for a whole semester at school.
Oh snap! Who has the last laugh now?
Anyway, this is gonna be one boring New Year's Eve.
I totally wanna be at this bar I saw in Austin; The Cockpit.
